Aleksandra Bengin
Aleksandra Bengin (1992) received her foundational music education at the Josif Marinković Music School in Vršac, studying multiple instruments — piano, cello, and percussion. She continued her education in Belgrade, completing secondary school for three instruments before enrolling at the Faculty of Music Arts in Belgrade, where she completed her undergraduate studies in piano in the class of Aleksandra Pavlović, and her undergraduate and master's studies in cello in the class of Prof. Sandra Belić. She has taken masterclasses with renowned cellists including Natalia Gutman, Valentin Radutiu, Vashti Hunter, Evgeny Rumyantsev, Maja Bogdanović, and Leonid Gorokhov. As a cellist, she has performed in numerous orchestras and chamber ensembles. Since June 2022, she has been a member of the RTS Symphony Orchestra as a permanent external collaborator. She is an active performer as a member of the Bengin & Predolac duo, the Dragorad duo, the Chameleon string quartet, and BONO — the Belgrade Youth Folk Orchestra. In 2025, her debut album of original music for cello and electronics, titled LET, was released by Multimedia Music. Together with dancer and performance artist Olga Uzikaeva, she gave a series of performances across Serbia (Belgrade, Novi Sad, Subotica, Kruševac) presenting the music through the multimedia performance LET, as well as through concerts (Belgrade, Vršac, Lebane). At the BLISS Festival 2025, her composition for piano trio Prelude without a Fugue, inspired by the music of Johann Sebastian Bach, received its world premiere.
