Nikola Buljančević
Nikola Buljančević was born on 5 May 1996 in Ćuprija. He began playing double bass in 2010 at the School for Musical Talents in Ćuprija, in the class of Prof. Aleksandar Blagojević. He enrolled at the Faculty of Music Arts in Belgrade in 2016, in the class of Prof. Slobodan Gerić.
He has refined his skills at numerous masterclasses with renowned professors, including Alberto Bocini, Josef Niederhammer, Zoran Marković, and Stefano Sciascia.
As an orchestral musician, he has performed with numerous ensembles, including the St George's Strings, the Dušan Skovran Chamber Orchestra, the Belgrade Symphonists, the Radio-Television of Serbia Symphony Orchestra, Camerata Serbica, the KotorArt Festival Orchestra, the Muzikon Chamber Orchestra, the Metamorphosis Chamber Orchestra, Palermo Classica, Ensemble 2K+, and the Belgrade Chamber Orchestra (BCO). Since 2021, he has been a regular freelance collaborator of the Opera Orchestra of the National Theatre in Belgrade.
Throughout his career, he has collaborated with distinguished domestic and internationally recognised artists, including Roman Simović, Milena Simović, Guy Braunstein, Sreten Krstić, Stefan Milenković, Hossein Pishkar, Bojan Sućić, Stanko Madić, Arman Tigranyan, Aleksandar Marković, Vahan Mardirossian, Victoria Mullova, Valentina Lisitsa, Mario Stefano Pietrodarchi, Daniel Hope, Yuri Bashmet, Ye-Eun Choi, Aleksandar Madžar, Wanzhe Zhang, Mikael Samsonov, Srboljub Dinić, Pacho Flores, Andrea Bocelli, and many others.
